Remote Data Capture

Diamond Discovery now has an exciting new feature. Using a Remote data capture hand terminal, data may be collected within the stores environment and then used to create a Sales Order at the front desk, without a need to re-key the data.
This is achieved by the use of a hand held scanner with data storage capacity. Product Code Data is collected by scanning and a quantity added manually. This is then synchronised with the PC and the stored data is downloaded into a format that can be used by Diamond Discovery. This is done seamlessly by the use of an on-screen button which transfers the data to a Sales Order or Purchase Order for final editing. This method can also be used in a similar way to receive goods from a supplier.
A further option allows for a stock take to be done remotely, and adjustments to be created automatically when synchronised with the PC.
This is yet another practical example of how Diamond can help you run your business more effectively.
