At the time of writing, the UK's air traffic is firmly on the ground due to the Icelandic volcano with a name few people can pronounce (see this); most of Northern Europe is in the same situation. The reason for this, without question, is a matter of safety - the overriding factor in most aviation decisions.
In a similar vein, at Diamond we run a number of servers which are live on the Internet. We have included an article which explains how no chances are taken with data security, fire safety, electrical power supply or multiple network connections to ensure our infrastructure is solid and robust.
As usual, we've enhanced aspects of our software and we have a recommended approach for updating Diamond when you move to Windows Vista/7 operating systems.
Our reseller network received a shot in the arm when Diamond Discovery South joined us last year. They have already introduced a number of new customers and have some exciting prospects.
