John's experience in the accounting software marketplace started in 1983 when, as Sales Manager for one of the first microcomputer resellers in South Wales, he introduced accounting software to the range of products sold. After several years of developing that business, he became Regional Business Development Manager for a major UK software developer, supporting end users and resellers throughout the UK.
John joined Diamond Discovery as Sales Director in October 2006 after 16 years of running his own business, which offered a consultancy service to potential accounting software clients, giving advice and practical help with the selection and implementation of suitable software products. It was during this time that he began working closely with Diamond Discovery Software Limited, assisting with the development of the Diamond Discovery product range.
In his leisure time, John loves to indulge his passion for motor sport and, whilst no longer competing himself, acts in an organisational capacity on many long distance historic rallies in the UK and Europe, as well as helping to provide timekeeping and results services on many local and national events. When possible he likes to attend these events in his restored MGB sports car.
