Management Team
The management team comprises four people with ideal experiences and skill sets. A brief description of each is given below:
Dr Ian Vickers ACA – Managing Director
Ian achieved a PhD in Mathematics which developed his analytical and computer programming skills. Working in audit with Ernst & Young in London for four years gave Ian experience of business and project management and his ACA qualification. With a further 10 years of senior management roles in City of London institutions Nomura, UBS and RWE, Ian has the skills and experience which, coupled with his drive and determination, are needed to take DDSL forward.
Dr Stephen Vickers MBA – Non-Executive Director
Stephen has worked for a number of blue-chip multinationals in South Wales. His ten years of experience in senior management roles will stand him in good stead for the challenges of implementing a global strategy and general business development.
John Surridge – Sales Director
John has worked in the accounting software industry since 1980. Initially employed as Sales Manager at a large Pegasus dealership in Swansea, he then moved on to become Dealer Sales Manager for Pegasus Software, providing marketing support for the Pegasus dealer network throughout the UK. When leaving Pegasus in 1990, John formed his own business selling and supporting Diamond Discovery and Pegasus systems. John has been closely associated with the development of Diamond Discovery for the last 15 years. He has been a director of the company since 2002.
Steve Thomas – Technical Director
Steve has worked on programming and modification of accounting software since 1980, is the technical mind behind Diamond Discovery and has lead its development since 1988. An accomplished programmer, Steve has highly developed skills in Microsoft FoxPro as well as most other Microsoft products. Steve was a director of Audit Computer Systems, a Business Accounting specialist, where he developed applications for a wide variety of businesses.
